Jim is my brother in law and this was what was aired on TV in September 2009 - describing his challenges with ALS. ALS now falls under the umbrella of MDA and this is a very insidious disease. Jim was diagnosised 2 yrs. ago - The El Tour De Tucson... was in 2008, being the last time he was able to compete. The Doctor's appt. was in April 2009; today he's unable to walk, use his hands, etc. His spirit and humor has up lifted his care givers. Everyday is a challenge but you'd never know it from him!
