The reason EMI is unhappy is because the played song is a cover of the Britney Spears track, Womanizer, and listeners stole the Lilly Allen version and put it all over the internet. Whoops, is right. The New York governor announced Wednesday the new planned tax cuts and additions in order to cut-down the current 15.4-billion-dollar budget gap down 1-million-dollars. Some of the increased taxes are on iTunes downloads, non-diet sodas, alcohol, cable and taxi fares. Governor David Paterson also said he plans to cut school aid by almost 700-million and reduce 3.5-million-dollars in health-care. And Bill Clinton released on Thursday a list of his donors from his foundation. The former president did this to help the transition for his wife, Hillary Clinton, to become Secretary of State. The 2-largest donations came from UNITAID, an international organization that purchases prescription drugs to aid sick children and from the Children's Investment Fund Foundation - both giving more than 25-million-dollars each. Some other high-rollers on the list include the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and real estate friend, Stephen Bing - each donating between 10-million and 25-million dollars. A federal judge ordered MGA Entertainment to stop production of the Bratz dolls, after ordering a total of 10-million-dollars in payment to Mattel for copyright infringement and breach of contract. The jury found that the Bratz designer created the Bratz idea while he worked at Mattel, and the long-time company claims that Barbie sales decreased when the edgier Bratz hit the market in 2001. And a San Diego teacher chose to sell advertisements for local businesses on his calculus exams. Tom Farber said that it's his solution to classroom budget cuts. He also said that he does not want this practice to be the norm and that the government should step up to help educators provide for their students. Cyber Monday, the digital equivalent of Black Friday, took place this week as many online retailers offered huge discounts on popular consumer goods. The media has reported gloomy projections for retail sales for the season, even though Black Friday turned out to be a huge success this year, leading many analysts to wonder if the large amount of articles written about poor retail sales could turn into a self fulfilling prophecy.
