Some quick footage (and subsequent engine revving) of the Algonquin College race car built by Motive Power Technician Program students at the college. It's a Pontiac Firebird which has been completely stripped out, had a roll cage and a full tubular body installed, powered by an LS1 engine and has straight exhaust (absolutely no muffler or catalytic converter). Needless to say it can do some serious burnouts. On a side note, this was an older project, the current students are working on a Chevy S10 pickup which involves removing everything from the truck down to the frame, having the frame sandblasted, replacing body panels, suspension, steering and replacing the 4 cylinder engine with a LS engine and then sticking 2 turbos on the new engine. All on a fairly limited budget of around $5000 but if it all works, it should be an awesome truck. Algonquin College...

A shortish video of me and some of my family having some fun lighting some fireworks on Canada Day (2010). I do realize the quality of the video is poor but it was sort of spur of the moment that we were going to shoot off fireworks and my Blackberry was the quickest thing to shoot video with.
