I was bored one day. Halo CE Trick...
The physics changed quite a lot from Beta to Retail as you can tell. One thing you can't do too well in the Beta is Slide. If you jump from a high(ish) place and land on a slant, you just stop dead. There's no Bou Slide or Maluu type slide (you know what I mean). The only kind of slide that is possible is your ordinary Halo 3 Style uncrouch and jump at the same time. Unlike Halo 2 retail, you can Edge Slide REALLY far in the Beta, as you can tell from the video. Here is a list of things I tested during my couple days with the Beta: Edge Ghost - Better Slide(s) - Worst Edge Slide - Better Edge Bounce - Yes Bunny Hop - Better Overjump - Same Save - Same Ramp - Same Late jump - Undecided Super bounce - Worst I put undecided for late jumps because I've landed some long jumps (in the Beta) no save, which I've never landed in Halo 2 Retail no save. So there could be a couple possibilities. Because of the messed up Field of View (FOV), it's hard to tell whether I run a little faster, or I'm allowed to jump a little later... Who knows, Who cares. Super Bouncing in the Beta is... weird. You don't need to crouch somewhere before hand, all you do is uncrouch the same time you land. You fall through the map 70% of the time which is great for tricking but not so good for bouncing. Last but not least, you don't need to crouch for Edge Ghosts, that includes 90º Edge Ghosts! So, we got quite a lot of Subscribers after the Cube World Trailer and you guys are probably thinking, WTF is this? Well, before we made the Cube World trailer, we were Trick Jumpers in the Halo series. An elite group of people that like to find ways to navigate a map the developers never intended. This is the first part of Veni Vidi Vici series. This video consists of easy/weak jumps we found during our quest on finding the best unaided jumps in Halo 2. Some of you will already know but, the reason it was sooo delayed is because Bill's Xbox died soon after we announced Veni Vidi Vici (Thanks Microsoft). After waiting months for it to magically repair itself (it didn't) we decided it was time to get the ball rolling and just get it out there. The video is quite short, weighing in at 1:42 seconds long. The second video (Vidi) will be dropping soon which will be longer and will consist of Modded stacks and Modded unaided jumps.
